On June 28, 2025, I had the pleasure of attending “Pamana,” a vibrant and interactive event held at the Queen Elizabeth Building to close out Philippine Heritage Month.
The event brought together music, poetry, dance performances, art displays, and thoughtful discussions that sparked both reflection and celebration. What stood out most was the strong sense of inclusion and community—guests from various cultural backgrounds engaged in meaningful exchanges about legacy and identity.
Hosted by UP Alumni Edmonton and MLA Nathan Ip, with contributions from several local Filipino organizations, “Pamana” was a beautiful reminder of how cultural heritage can unite and inspire across generations.
